Vancouver, British Columbia.

dsc00947Before I left for Canada, everyone told me how I have to go to Vancouver, “it’s a city close to nature! There’s nothing like it!” Well funnily enough, those of you who have been keeping up with my blog for a while will know that I don’t live too far away from Bristol, a city that is close to nature. So, I didn’t love Vancouver as much as I thought I would but I still really liked it, I know I’ve just contradicted myself hugely but I’m sure you get what I mean. I also loved Vancouver because of the people I met there, and I’m confident when I say that I think we’ll be friends forever. Anyway more on that later… Let me start from the beginning.

This Book Will Change The Way You Travel

DSC09083

Have you ever stayed in a city for a couple of days and then left feeling ever so slightly guilty because you may have kinda rushed through it in order to stick to your jam packed itinerary? But then as you slowly roll away from the city, you think to yourself, ‘you know what? It’s okay, one day I’ll come back and visit properly and see everything.’ You then sit back in your comfy seat, let the guilt wash over and watch the city quickly fade into the distance. Out of sight out of mind, right? Then, as you finish making those vows to return, your mind turns over to the really important things, like, your next destination. Another place that you’ll be spending two or three nights in before quickly moving on.

6 Months in a Nutshell

DSC07609resize

It’s been three months but I’m finally back! My last assessment has been submitted and (assuming that I have passed)* I am well on the way to finishing my undergraduate degree. It seems slightly surreal to have so much free time after three years of continuous work. However, this leaves me with more time to work on this blog of which I have abandoned for the past year. I think I’m going to dedicate this first post on updating you all on what I’ve been up to this year so far. This year has already brought so many adventures and I’m so excited to catch you up and tell you what I’ve got planned for the rest of 2016.

Currently MIA but about to BRB

Well hello there!

I can’t believe it’s been over three months since I posted it on this blog, but I’m hoping you still have some vague memory of this face. Believe it or not it was one of my New Year’s resolutions to try and keep up with doing a post a week. But I have discovered that time flies even when you’re not having fun. And I definitely owe you an explanation for my absence from the blogosphere.

Summer Plans

Another academic year over… I was so focused on exams that I didn’t have time to digest the fact that my penultimate year of university was ending! To be honest, I’m not too sure how I feel about it yet. The past 9 months have dragged painfully slowly whilst flying by at the speed of light, I know, doesn’t really make much sense but I know what I mean! It feels like just yesterday that I was landing in Heathrow airport after 6 weeks in Thailand with my best friend.

Inspiring Spaces

First off, I have to start off by apologising for recently completely disappearing off the blogging radar. I’m sure many of you can empathise that my schedule has been overwhelmingly hectic with exams fast approaching *starts hyperventilating*, keeping up regular hours at work to ensure that I have enough money for my upcoming India trip and with social events lingering in between work and revision, time for maintaining this blog has completely evaporated. But in just one short (maybe a little too short) month, I will be free from the stress of university for a whopping 5 months and I will be able to catch you up with what I have been up to over Spring and my plans for Summer, trust me. It will be worth the wait. I have so much to tell you all.

Indian Adventures – The To Do List

I have to admit… I’m feeling a little out of the blogging loop at the moment. The lack of travelling has given me something that resembles writer’s block and I am grappling for content ideas. It does not help that I have been overwhelmed with university work meaning that I don’t even have time to scroll through my feed on bloglovin’! BUT I have finally finished for spring break which means I have the opportunity to catch up with some travel plans and get a little ahead on prep for India before the Summer term and the relentless pressure of exams begins.

8 Inspiring Women for International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day (8/03) I am going to write about the 8 women in my life that inspire me. This strays away from my usual travel content but I will make an exception for International Women’s Day. It is so important to celebrate the women in our lives that are inspiring and I don’t do it nearly enough so am most certainly not going to miss out on a day dedicated to strong women. This list will include a mixture of bloggers, celebrities, personal friends and family, all women, all who are inspiring in different ways.
